Privacy Policy

Overview

KanaPop is a Japanese kana learning game for iPhone, iPad and Android. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data KanaPop collects and how it is used.

Data Collection

KanaPop's own code collects no personal data. Specifically:

• No account or sign-up is required.
• No personal information (name, email, etc.) is requested or gathered.
• No usage analytics or tracking is performed by the app itself.
• Your game progress, stats, and settings are stored only on your device and are never sent to us.

KanaPop shows ads served by Google AdMob: a banner under the board while you play, and optional rewarded ads you can watch to earn an extra life or hint. AdMob may collect and process advertising-related data on its own behalf. See Third-Party Services below for details.

Data Stored on Your Device

KanaPop stores your game progress and preferences (such as language setting and sound preferences) locally on your device, in the app's own storage on iPhone, iPad or Android. We never receive this data and cannot access it. Your device's own backup (iCloud or Google) may include it, as it does for other apps; that backup belongs to you.

Third-Party Services

KanaPop uses Google AdMob to show a banner ad during play and optional rewarded video ads. Watching a rewarded ad is never required to play. To serve and measure these ads, AdMob may collect data such as your device's advertising identifier, IP address, and ad interaction data.

Where the law requires it, for example in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, KanaPop shows Google's consent form before any ad is requested, so you can choose how your data is used for ads.

On iPhone and iPad, KanaPop also asks for permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before the advertising identifier can be used. On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or turn off personalized ads, in your device's settings. Neither choice blocks gameplay or ads; it only limits how personalized the ads are.

Children's Privacy

KanaPop's own code does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Ads shown in the app are served by Google AdMob. On iPhone and iPad, ads are personalized only with a player's explicit permission in the App Tracking Transparency prompt; on Android, personalization follows Google's consent form where it applies and the device's ad settings.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, the revised version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
