Hanzi Crush collects no data about you. It has no account system, no analytics, no advertising, and makes no network requests of any kind.
What the app stores
The app saves your progress so it is there next time you open it:
- Best score for each tier, and which tiers you have unlocked
- Which characters you have matched or missed, and how often
- Characters you have saved to your notebook
- Your sound and interface-language preferences
All of it is written to your device's local storage and stays there. It is never transmitted anywhere, because the app has no ability to transmit anything. Deleting the app deletes all of it.
What the app does not do
- No accounts, sign-in, or email collection
- No analytics, crash reporting, or usage tracking
- No advertising and no advertising identifiers
- No third-party SDKs of any kind
- No access to your contacts, photos, location, microphone, or camera
- No network connections — the app works fully offline
Pronunciation audio
Spoken readings are produced by the speech synthesiser built into iOS, running on your device. Nothing is recorded, and nothing is sent to Apple or to anyone else by this app.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages and collects nothing from anyone, children included.
Changes
If a future version of the app ever collects anything, this policy will be updated before that version ships, and the change will be described here.
